     The term "counterintelligence" (CI) describes actions and strategies used to identify, stop, and neutralize attempts by foreign intelligence services or other organizations to get sensitive data without authorization or interfere with military operations (Benny, 2022). The Need for Intelligence Services to Protect National Security

For several reasons, intelligence services are essential to maintaining national security. Information on potential internal and foreign terrorist threats is gathered by intelligence services (Benny, 2022). They keep tabs on people and organizations that are a danger to the country's security and try to stop terrorist attacks. Intelligence services are crucial for identifying and thwarting cyber dangers in the modern world. They work to defend key infrastructure, corporations, and government networks from online attacks, hacking efforts, and information warfare (Benny, 2022). To identify and stop espionage and other intelligence activities carried out by foreign governments or entities, intelligence agencies engage in counterintelligence activities. This protects technologies and sensitive information. Early warnings about impending conflicts, political unrest, or other stability threats are given by intelligence services. Governments may respond proactively and stop problems from
